All footage shot and edited by Teaching InterludesClick below to see different samples of teaching from Mono: This was a close-up on-camera monologue exercise. Under the guidance and direction of acting coach Vincent Guastaferro the product you see here is a direct outgrowth of work done in class to address the students' desire to work in this way. Each of these is a proven monologue and performed under the most professional circumstances to duplicate the most strict parameters of doing a close-up on camera. Kudos to the actors: Cindy Kania, Michael G. Welch, Lauren Anne Baldwin, Luke Koehn, Mackenzie Jamieson, and Horacio Corchado. Cop Killer: Cop Killer is a direct outgrowth of work done at THE SPORT OF ACTING studio under the direction of Vincent Guastaferro. The scene was taken from an original script by Dan Ramm called U.S. Marshalls. It was developed in scene study class and taken forward to the video production for the actors to experience the full journey from inception to finished product. Special thanks to Mackenzie Jamieson and Lauren Ann Baldwin for their talent, professionalism, and for their persistence to get it done. Other teaching samples |

Evening with Joe MantegnaActor, and long time friend of Vinny's, Joe Mantegna came to SPORT to address an eclectic crowd of about 70 people.
Writers, artists, musicians, and the many actors contributed to the evening in an extensive Q & A with Mr. Mantegna.
His generous personality imparted valuable information about the craft and the business. His stories had the crowd in hysterics;
we still can't decide which story takes the trophy: “Bobo”, “Ringo”, or the “Flaming Crotch!”

on a network level to what the actor must do to get ready to walk into the audition.
Click photo to watch. Evening with Steven BanksSteven Banks, aka "Billy the Mime" came to THE SPORT OF ACTING. This guy never ceases to amaze me. There were about fifty of us there and everyone shared a passion for the craft of acting, so hearing this remarkable performer's
take on the physicality of an actor's approach and the use of the body as the principal tool of exploration was fascinating and affirming. Actors sat there nodding their heads as Mr. Banks talked about and demonstrated some of his preparations for a “Billy the Mime” performance.
We all left richer for the experience.
